Little Flower School Policies
Weather Emergency, School Closing
In the event of serious inclement weather, Little Flower School will try to follow Washoe County School District closures and delayed starts. If schools are closed or on a delayed start, announcements are made through our communicators system, LFS website, the local television stations – KOLO-Channel 8, KTVN-Channel 2 or KRNV-Channel 4.
In the event of a 2 hour delayed start, children may not be on school grounds prior to 10am. There is supervision on the playground beginning at 10am. There is no Before School Program on delayed start days.
In the event of a serious crisis where evacuation of the school building is required, parents will be notified through our communication system. This information may also be broadcast on television, radio, and school web.
In the event of a pandemic or other situation that may warrant widespread school closure, Little Flower School may follow the guidelines and recommendations of the Washoe County School District, or Washoe County Health Department.
Minimum day dismissal is at 12:30 p.m.
Please make every effort to pick up your children on time on these days. Children not picked up by 12:45 p.m., will go to the After School Program at the minimum day charge of $20.00.
