“Now is the time to form a new legacy.”
Greetings! I am thrilled to announce the start of our fundraising efforts to add a new gymnasium/multi-purpose room, twelve new classrooms, and a modern and more secure front office for our school. This idea has been in the works for a number of years. As we come closer to accomplishing our goals, it is my prayer that you will come to have faith in and appreciate the need for a modernized and expanded school building for our existing faculty and student body.
As I reflect on the rich history of Little Flower Catholic School, I can’t help but appreciate how our school has influenced some of the most successful members of our community. Year after year, we see alumni from Little Flower graduating at the top of their high-school class with opportunities into college and graduate school. Community leaders, local business owners, respected public servants, and esteemed members of our parish have all graced the halls of our school. We have truly built a legacy here at Little Flower Catholic School.
Now is the time to form a new legacy.
This effort cannot rest on the shoulders of the few. It will take the participation of our entire parish-school community to succeed. I believe the success of our campaign will allow us to continue providing opportunities for students to experience Christ’s infinite love in their lives.
I have made my pledge to secure the future of our school. Now I ask, will you join me?
Gratefully,
Annie Di Loreto
Principal
“Please… make an investment in Little Flower’s future”
What a gift to return to my hometown of Reno and serve the Little Flower community. This parish is such a blessing in the heart of Reno, NV, serving parishioners and students from all over Northern Nevada. I am encouraged to see the Little Flower community growing and thriving; however, continued growth is not sustainable without modernizing and expanding our parish-school facilities.
Our school provides children of various cultures, religious beliefs, socio-economic status, and residents of different Northern-Nevada neighborhoods an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and provides a foundation upon which to build a lifelong relationship with God. Many of you have been blessed directly or indirectly from the warm family environment and excellent educational setting Little Flower Catholic School is known for and has offered for over fifty years!
Your support of the Ensuring our Legacy, Sustaining our Mission Capital Campaign will help to secure Little Flower’s future and put us on a path to continue living our mission across Northern Nevada for the long term. I encourage your faithful support of this campaign. Please join us in this effort, make an investment in Little Flower’s future, and be assured of my personal support and prayers in these most challenging times.
In Christ,
Rev. Paul J. McCollum
Pastor

Why are we conducting a capital campaign?
We are conducting a capital campaign to raise money to expand and renovate the parish school so that it will be adequately equipped to serve the existing student body and future generations of children.
What are the greatest benefits of this project?
The addition of a multi-purpose room will have a tremendous impact on the members of both the school and church. The school will utilize the gymnasium/multi-purpose room as a lunchroom, a gym, a venue for performing arts, dedicated space for CYO sporting activities, and to host other events. Likewise, the gymnasium/multipurpose room will provide church members a much-needed space for its youth-group activities, meetings and large events. The new and renovated classrooms will significantly improve the quality of education for students and create
additional meeting space for church groups.
Why are we doing the campaign during the Covid-19 pandemic?
These are unprecedented times. While there is understandably a lot of anxiety and uncertainty in the world, the needs and mission of Little Flower remain urgent and unchanged. We recognize that not everyone will be able to financially support the campaign at this time, however, we want to give everyone the opportunity to invest in Little Flower, however they are able.
Who will be asked to support the Capital Campaign?
All school families, alumni, and church members will be asked to invest in the future of Little Flower and the generations of children that it will educate and evangelize. In addition, community leaders, foundations and local businesses will also be invited to support the campaign.
